IBC students are trained in one of the finest fire service labs in the country at Aiken Technical College’s FAST Lab in Aiken, SC. The FAST Lab includes a variety of fire alarm and working sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and extinguishing and suppression systems from top manufacturers. Students receive 3.6 CEUs for industry certifications, preparation for passing the IMSA Interior Fire Alarm Level I certification and the NAFED/ICC certification examination, as well as pre & post inspection assessments and professional customer interaction.

IBC has been helping build world-class fire and life safety inspection teams since 2005. Dedicated to enhancing the value of inspectors through education, IBC graduates represent some of the leading service providers in the country.

BuildingReports unveiled its new FireScan Healthcare, a web-based life safety inspection-reporting format specifically for Healthcare Facilities. Two years in the making, the new Healthcare inspection format is based on guidelines from The Joint Commission and includes the latest EC (Environment of Care) and LS (Life Safety) codes. Each section of the FireScan Healthcare inspection report is grouped by EC & LS codes and prints separate sections for easier binder insertion. Data from previous inspections is integrated into the report to provide facility managers with a complete inspection summary as required by The Joint Commission.

“We wanted to streamline the inspection process for healthcare facilities,” explains Brett Brewster, president and CEO of BuildingReports. “FireScan Healthcare was developed based on The Joint Commission guidelines and feedback from our service member network.”
