Important Update: Changes to Supported iOS Devices

As of today, ScanSeries is no longer supported on iPhone, iPod and iPad running iOS versions older than 8.0. This specifically applies to the iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4, which are unable to update to iOS version 8.0 or newer. While the 4th generation devices were released in 2010, the iPhone 4S - which was released in 2012 - can be updated up to iOS version 9.3.5 and will continue to be supported. There is no change for the iPhone 5C which has never been supported, and the Infinite Peripherals' Linea Pro sleds are not impacted unless used with an iPhone 4 or iPod Touch 4.

Portal Update: New Inspection Status Drop-Down Shortcut

Upon logging into the portal users will notice a change to the list view on the Get Reports page. The Inspection Status column now features a drop down option that allows users to choose the inspections status without having to expand the report detail row by clicking the + symbol to the far left of the row. The option no longer resides within the detail section for the row, and users can save extra steps when updating the inspeciton status.

Sensitivity Data Entry Made Simple

Entering data for smoke detector sensitivity so that the range will populate automatically in your report can sometimes be a challenge, especially if the detector head supplies only the range of the detector while the rating, minus and plus values (which compute to give you the range) are not provided. Since the Smoke Detector device record in our applications allows you to enter the Rating and Minus/Plus values so that a range will populate automatically, how do you address this type of scenario so that the range will populate successfully?
